More than 11,000 children are in Georgia’s foster care system, highlighting both the urgent need and limited state resources. While DFCS and partner agencies work hard to provide safe placements, funding often falls short of covering essentials that bring comfort and dignity—like clothing, shoes, and personal care items. Programs like Fara’s Clothing Closet help fill this gap by providing what state stipends can’t, ensuring foster children feel seen, supported, and cared for. Through community partnerships and donations, Fara’s helps turn basic care into true belonging.
